Valentine’s Day Couple Contest: Envy Cosplay & Ena Cosplay as Fem!Vincent Valentine & Yuffie (Final Fantasy VII/ Kingdom Hearts)

Here’s one of the entries for our Valentine’s Day Couple Contest. Envy Cosplay and Ena Cosplay are cosplaying as Fem!Vincent Valentine and Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts. While neither of these cosplayers used our wigs we have some great recommendations for styles to use in case you are looking to cosplay as either of these characters in the future. What inspired you to do these cosplays?:
I (Envy) really love Vincent and she (Ena) loved Yuffie (kh version). We are roommates, so we decided as our first partner cosplay to have some fun times together and look like a fun couple. Everyone already says we’re married even though we’re not haha. We’re just that good of friends.

What got you into cosplay?
I (Envy) am actually a second generation cosplayer. My father got me into it when I was young and still influences me to this day. I stuck with it as I got older when I realized I had the skills to do the same as the old “big league” cosplayers do: make a character really come to life and just spread happiness for fans of that series. That was years ago though. Well, for her (Ena) it was the fact that she loved seeing the details and emotion put into the cosplays. so she wanted to be able to have the rewarding feeling that elite cosplayers feel.

Why do you love cosplay?
I (Envy) love cosplay because it brings together so many people of the fandom. Even as a cosplayer, I will still spazz like the fan I am to my favorite characters’ cosplays. It’s about seeing smiles on everyone’s faces and meeting great new friends. It also doesn’t hurt that I’m good at the craft, so it’s just extra rewarding and helps me grow in my skills. And Ena loves it because she loves seeing the people freak out about the detail/character you portray.
